Re(2): No new stadium? So what?

Dude you are your usual stupid ass. I bet I've voiced things you read in KC and didn't have someone else's words to speculate the same reasoning like you did, having listened to all the Kansas City Whining. That'd be a good name for a team.

As usual, you're more interested in bullying me behind that tree than defending your position, unless I'm the only position you have...which will be on your knees.

BTW our position is the Nashville Royals will be acceptable to us. IT'd take us about the same driving time to see the Royals then, that it would for you to drive to see them now. THere aren't any interstates near PV, are there? That was one of the things I didn't like about lving in JOCO...nobody wanted to clear the land for a north south Interstate. Maybe they should just wide MIssion road on each side for a quarter mile? GRin.

MY better halfs the Royals fan...I read her those comments. She's followed it more closely than I have. I've always found baseball too boring. Like the media following both ends of Pennsylvania avenue in DC, I call it inside baseball.

Her view is that her favorite two Chiefs players make too much money so ordinary people can't afford to go to a game...that the upgrade's mostly for VIP fans and something abt reducing parking. Shes opposed to moving them downtown because on game days, downtown would be closed...better have it on the periphery where it's out of the way.

Makes sense to me. The stadiums are easier for everyone in KC to get to as they are, rather than say, plop them where the department stores were on Mission Road. I"m sure the Mission Hills crowd would hate their little isolated berg to be turned into a parking lot. </sarcasm>

If downtown is ever to be a mecca for urban living on the hill, would traffic jams make it impossible for the Downtowners living there to find a parking space every night close to their apartments? Course if they tear down Bartle for parking, since Kansas City never became to Convention mecca some had hoped it would be....Oh I know! Put it at 15th and Troost and move it eastward. Nobody would mind THAT, would they? But then, where would ya put the displaced residents? Send em to The Dotte? Not much going on around KU Med. Rename it Gaza City? That's not really that unreasonable or is that too close to Prairie Village? We gotta think outside the box here!
