You Remain One of My Favorites Jatna…. Posted on April 7, 2024 at 02:02:09 AM by Stu Neiman
Jatna:
As you may have noticed I am VERY protective of our program. Rarely defensive as I am quick to accept responsibility for my own failings and issues within our program.
The fact you care enough to memorialize those initial observations means a lot to me (us). But just like I’ve been doing since roughly 1997, I’ll explain the issues while not always resolving them - hard to comprehend I know. Harder to explain.
When it comes to the players I am fiercely defensive and very protective. As I am with Andrew and many behind the scenes who remain nameless. We all try.
Those who started with us in 2018 & 2019 are a special protected class in my mind because I know the Jai-Alai community well. In many cases we “eat our own.” Since leaving the program and subsequent to the horrific accident Diaz falls into his own category. I consider many of our players to be friends, some closer than others as in any work environment, but many are friends over & before employees.
As is true in my personal life I protect what I love - and I sometimes do it in an ugly way. That’s me.
Both the ball mike and music we can’t hear have been issues for a while. We’ll try and address and I do appreciate you bringing it to our attention in a descriptive way much like my own. But to be clear, Diaz has nothing to do with it - and we’ll likely continue to miss it. Replies:
