Here�s a perspective from a 20 year plus single role medic. I�ve always noticed, since the day I came on, that I saw a lot of white FFs working on very busy fire cos. in black neighborhoods. Didn�t see many black FFs. So I thought to myself hmm� I wonder why if they are so proud of their culture,people, neighborhoods then why aren�t there all black shifts at these busy houses in these black neighborhoods??? I also noticed these 111 that wanted to be FFs so badly that a lot of them are out at O�Hare or some other cush spot. Why is that???
