I am writing to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to every member of our esteemed
Fire Department. As Fire Commissioner, I am constantly reminded of the extraordinary
dedication, professionalism, and bravery demonstrated by our firefighters and paramedics, on a
daily basis.
In the face of danger and adversity, you consistently uphold the highest standards of service to
all of Chicago’s neighborhoods and communities. Whether battling flames in a structure fire,
rescuing individuals from hazardous situations, or providing critical medical assistance, your
commitment to protecting the lives and property of all our citizens is truly commendable.
Moreover, your unwavering teamwork and collaboration are vital components of our Fire
Department's success. By working seamlessly together, you not only ensure the safety of all in
the City, but also foster unity and camaraderie within our Fire Department family.
In recognition of your outstanding contributions and selfless service, I extend my heartfelt
gratitude to each member. Your courage, sacrifice, and commitment to duty exemplify the finest
traditions of our profession.
I want to acknowledge the sacrifices you make, often away from your loved ones, to fulfill our
responsibilities as members of the Fire Department. Your commitment to our Fire Department
and to all of Chicago serves as a beacon and inspiration to all.
