Re(1): reality

I use it because pretty much any conversation draws pushback because show biz people are especially thin skinned.

I also say it in part so I'm not taken as arrogant. Just sayin assumes that we are also speaking of truth, even if it does hurt.

Most people's egos are so busy complimenting themselves, they need some truth because too much patting ourselves on the back makes us satisfied with ourselves and that creates mediocrity.

I don't mean it as mean spirited... if I did, I'd be personally insulting and we all know who does THAT. Think of it more like a Truth check from Earl Pitts.

INstead of getting all offended and want to hit back, people should ask themselves, "Is my company really like that?" "Is the guy trying to motivate me off my butt?" "Am I really coming across as petty and jealous?"

Some in here absolutely ARE, other's aren't. And if you agree with Earl, put an explanation on the comment by saying "YUP! or "Ya said THAT right!"

Why? Because if it actually WAS a good comment, that might actually cause a bit of self-assessment by who or whatever was the target.

Wanna change the mood of this room? Start talking about what you LIKE about what's up in this market. That's almost unheard of in here. And who are the jocks and anchors you LIKE? Just sayin.
