Goldenrod

Her words had been met with many of his own, but Goldenrod did not speak them outright as her lips faintly curled into a smile. She had been standing there quietly for a while, listening to him half assed even though she appeared to have been giving him her full attention. Her mind was stuck on what she could be doing here instead of what she was doing and it irked her. She had no current reason to go against the place she lived, but she could be persuaded if one were to offer her a stronger home to live in other than what this silver haired witch currently had. However, Goldenrod figured she had the best place to live and she would wait for the silver haired mare to assess her.

“Why here and why now?” She questioned back, her head then tilting to the side as the darkness of her mane crossed over her eyes and set the golden orbs almost fully out of view. She could see through the strands faintly, but her long mane did offer a bit of a problem in that moment. She would never look scary, but the way her body shifted and a smile curled her lips spoke of her already working on a path of her own. “I have no home and no one on the islands that has captured my attention. Why not go and follow the reigning Queen of darkness’s humble servant to their home?” Goldenrod might be sticking her hoof in her mouth, but Asmodeus was a servant to the great Nyimara. If Goldenrod had learned anything from the whispers, it was the fact Nyimara was in a placement all of her own and no one was on the same level. Hell, she had taken Solomon down a peg and that was something not many had dared to do.

“Who else would be a better trainer and land owner than the queen of witches herself?” She finally asked, this time her ears perking and a look of curiosity coloring her face. “The other islands have bland stallions as leaders. This place at least is different with a horse that has certainly earned and taken her position.”
