It's too bad you were misinformed and got tangled up with Robin and Fitz. They stayed off paper by design.
You were part of a rival organization once you endorsed a candidate that L2 did not and the IAFF President already concurred with the EB motion to declare it a rival organization. Timing of endorsement had nothing to do with it, but the L2 Political Action Committee voted in December to endorse Rahm. Fabrizio made the motion to the EB, it was voted up and that's where it ends.
Fitz was fuming because Chuy promised him more ambulances (already in the contract, so it was an empty one), and would make Fitz the Commissioner. So you see, you were used by him and Robin who was very much involved. Some of your westside cohorts reluctantly bowed to pressure from others as Robin pushed the narrative. She was a union steward and had to walk the very thin line.
I hope you and many others learned a valuable lesson from all this. Get involved the L2 if you want to have a voice, but following Fitz and Robin down the rabbit hole was not the way. Replies:
