Scott, no changes. Just replacing bearings, rings and valve springs if needed. Leo is going to set the ring gap for a 150 to 200 shot. There was a little too much thrust clearence and I wanted that fixed before I put the nitrous to it. Richard, I'm not sure who is telling you what I got going on but it ain't much. Kevin is going to put a trans-brake in when he freshens the tranny, Leo will be changing the bearings and rings for sure and maybe some valve springs if they are weak. Now, I might change the roller lifters but that will depend on what kind of pressure the springs have and what they look like to Leo when he pulls them out. IF all goes right, I might be able to beat a sun dial. And as far as Don goes, he has to actually show up with his own car for me to be worried!!! no sir,I only work at the track when Fred needs me to.After the stroke I have curtailed my activities quite a bit.Right now I am trying to get my Vette ready for this season.Pretty hard to do by urself when you don't have good mobility or strength to do a lot,but its coming along.Sold the 377 motor I built for it because it made more work than I am able to do so I went with a little 355 roller which should be ok for fun stuff.See ya at the track!!! - By Bill @ Evadale 2/9/2010 at 02:53:27 PM

HUGHES Pro-Series 10.5 Big Motor Nitrous CONVERTOR.
This is a high-horsepower HUGHES convertor set up for a BBC on Multiple kits. Stalled about 3100-3200 behind my large cube BBC (off nitrous of course). Convertor only has 6 hits on it total and one tranny change where I went from a Glide to a Rossler. Went to Procharged BBC and now I need a different setup on convertor is why the sale. Set up for a Glide with the Turbo input shaft.
HUGHES GM-101 +1/4
Numbers 187303 FB1 1/4
Billet front cover.
For Large Cube engine with power adders set up for 1/4 inch motor plate.
CALL HUGHES and ask THEM what this is to verify what I have said and what it's new cost would be (HUGHES-602-889.3621). Give them those numbers and let them inform you about this convertor.

In the track rules for 2009 there are 4 classes- 1-Super Pro 2- No Electronics 3- Street and 4- Motorcycle. My car runs in the low 12.00 and I have no electronics in my car. All I can say is it was checked and everything was working fine in Dec. Sorry all the BS got started over a simple question. I have really been busy working on the improvements, and I'm not back to 100% since the Heart thing happened. To answer the buy back question... yes we keep the money. Sorry to hurt your feelings FAN but I for one was at that meeting and these issues were settled at that meeting. The only ones complaining are the ones that didn't make it for whatever reason really aren't doing the complaining either. Why is it that you think its the bracket guys doing all teh crying? I haven't heard a complaint one from anyone in the bracket program. So therefore you must have been misled somewhere down the line. We are going to support any race that Evadale Raceway puts on because this is our homew track. Gulf Coast Powder Coating has a pretty big oven that can take on some big project. I had them coat a sub frame, inner fenders, core support and upper and lower a arms for the 67 Camaro we used to own. All of those things were done at one time and now the oven is twice as big. SORRY, I MISSED the every THREE WEEK part of your post. THAT was the "gist" of my suggestion. HOPE you didn't think I was trying to get CREDIT for YOUR IDEA. I was just throwing a suggestion to try and help get something going at the Dale on this Quick 8/16. My own personal car is and HAS BEEN directed at another class that I hope to introduce along with the help of a few racers that I have already contacted and gotten committments from. I intend to introduce it to the Dale using the majority of my own Money for the prize structure for the First Race and hopefully the track can take it from there if they SEE that it is successful.

- With the rising cost of parts, fuel, entry fees ect.. And its very hard on equipment to run a quarter of a mile since the parts are so much lighter and more prone to break under the heavy loads of turbos, super chargers and nos. anyone remeber the two truck I believe they were brothers. One was a 1/2 ton said "Slightly modified" on back window other one was a 3/4 ton with 8 lug wheels on front. Someone posted a message in the middle of December that I agree 100% with. Choose one person from each class to listen to all the gripes and complaints. I'm talking bout someone who is not bias to one group. If everyone can agree on the classes that would be a good start. Whatever draws the bigger crowd should be the way to go, but there is no reason we can't do something different from time to time to fit other peoples needs or wants. Guys all this stuff was suppose to be settled at the track meeting. So with that said the I will put this in for thought. I am the one who orignally made the post about the 1/4 mile index race . I was thinking about putting another race on like we did last year with the Truck Bash. I wanted to include alot more vehicles this so I made the post to see if it would work. Well I got my answer I asked for input and man did I get it. I didn't mean to leave the fastest cars out of it in the beginning but all I was looking was for a few comments and all hell broke loose. We will do everything we can to make an 1/8 race for those guys as well. So if the LBB'S can get the track for a week we will make this race happen somehow. I would like the some help definately from Ricky and Jody because thing sounds like it may be a huge event. This was by no means a suggestion to change the whole season at all. Just a one time deal. - I haven’t had much to say on the board lately, but now I have a cent or two to contribute. There are all kinds of racing, dirt, drag, bracket, nascar, road, etc. and I respect each individual for kind of racing they want to do. When 1/8 mile racing became the up and coming thing to do, that is how I set my car up to run. That is the kind of balls to the wall, (run what cha brung) racing I like to do. My car is all done right past the 1/8 mile, and such is the fact with a lot of other racers that I know. Beatle, C.J., Jarome (the Martin Racing Team), Mike S. Jesse M, Preacher, probably Greg Freman, PaPa Willet, the Becker Bros. The list goes on. Most of us racers spent the off season performing various task, freshen ups, power additives, some form of a change (something) to enhance the speed or beauty of what they ended the season doing. I’ve told an awful lot of lies to the ole lady about how much money I’ve actually spent on this project, and I’ve spent a awful lot of money to go as fast as I’ve gone. It would take a lot more money to change boats in the middle of the river. I think the format should stay the same. Like Mike said down the page. You go past 1/8 mile every time you run the ¼ mile. Get in where you fit in. I’m not knocking you ¼ mile racers but leave something for everyone. Otherwise you’re going to end up with a lot more tnt’ers than you already have. As for the quick 8- 16. I also agree with Mike down the page. It should be a cut off. 4.80 and faster and 4.80 and slower. (not necessarily those numbers). - not sure why everyone wants to add more races like what we already have lets improve what we have. believe it or not you pass the 1/8 mile cone every time you go through the 1/4 .lets work on what we have and improve those classes.spliting them back to 5.0/5.4/5.8/6.2 will allow more cars per index and have bigger payouts . the more cars =more crew people=more families=more gate money= more pay out!!! stop trying to push test and tuners into a class 80% of test and tuners race the cars in the other lane the few that dont usally are fast grudge cars and bring more fans than the bracket cars anyway. how about doing an old school flag man race or instant green with no time or with time? bring it once every month or so. as for the quick 8 or 16 split it with a 4.80 or faster class and a 4.80 and slower class a 4 second door car will run with a 4 sec dragster not all races are scared of dragsters just not gonna run a race they have a slim chance of winning . - By MIKE 1/11/2010 at 07:50:15 PM
It's not that the door cars are scared to run dragsters...It's the FACT that the dragsters have an advantage against a door car. They are lighter, Less air drag and the futher down the track they pick up their speed. Check the time slips. Well Kipp I dont know you very well,but Paw Paw and I want to race never said we didn't.I really think this whole thing has been blown up out of porportion. I guess I'm wondering , If it's even for a door car to race a dragster then why isn't it done Professtionally? Anyway ,want to race but we can do what we've been doing,TNT, Grudge or spectating... - I have a led light bar for the back of trucks it goes between the bumper/rollpan and the tailgate it works as a running, brake, both turn signals nad reverse light. It plug straight in and uses either double sided tape or brackets with screws BRAND NEW IN THE BOX. askin 80 decided to go another direction with my truck. So I have kept my mouth shut for a long time. I have been listening for days to my dad Bi$%# and moan about the quick 8 or 16. I was soo excited till I heard all the bashing that was going on about the dragsters!! I’m sorry but its time for yall to man up and face the fact that you will run against a girl in a DRAGSTER!! There is nothing different. Line up next to me heads up no bracket crap. You can talk your S**t if you want to if you beat me. I would really like to see the quick 8 or 16 make it. thanks mike for being a man and posting a name with your post.. first of all...we do not want to run a door car bracket or et class. if we would do that , then we discussed a 7.99 or quicker class. it will still be the fastest 8 cars under 7.99...door car, promod,dragster,,,or anything else for that matter. and if you have seen us at the track, we still have not got the car out of first gear or made it to the 1/8 much less the 1/4. but when its time to pay our entry fee , we will be in line to get whooped or azz drug for a while. - By kipp 1/11/2010 at 07:43:15 PM
