  Don't know right off, I'll do some checking. Hey why I got ya here, would a bad MSD 6AL cause spitting and sputtering in the higher rpm's? I have disconnected it and am using the stock coil and it runs great at low rpm's but step in it and it goes to backfiring. Kinda wierd, cause setting still . in neutral , it'll reve up fine , but under load is backfires. Do I need to install a new MSD box? Kinda hard to describe in a note.   Who remembers Rick Dobbertin? He built 2 over the top show cars. The first was a 64 or 65 Chevy II that had twin turbos feeding a blower then he built a Pontiac J2000 with a similar set up. I'll look around and see if I can find pictures. - By JODY 11/3/2009 at 05:08:43 PM
  Okay... I found pictures of them both. Here is a picture of the engine in the Chevy II. It had twin "draw thru" turbos going up to an injector style hat that is on top of a roots style blower.

• High Velocity Impact Nov 14th at the Dale - Thanks for all of your Input about the start times for the High Velocity Impact Race Nov 14th. We pushed the time out to get thru the summer months due to the heat. For the Nov 14th race, the gates will open at 10am track prep for test hits by noon and qfy around 2pm. I will have the schedule up soon, we will also add a couple of more staff members to the event and I hope this will make things better.   Chellsea on the 14th @ HRP there is a race that will fit you just fine.there is a bracket saturday and sunday(2 races)both brackets.this race is a ALL FORD race.NMRA.the bracket part is kinda neat.it puts ford powered cars and trucks against anyone else(Dodge/Chevy/anything)the race here at Evadale has indexes but i dont think your quick enough for any of em.if you want to go let us know me and James will be there both days parking Fords on there trailers. - By Bracket Racer SSS 1970(Eric Wolfford) 11/2/2009 at 07:36:59 PM

• The bad news is that Rock & Roll Thunder won't be able to make it tomorrow. She called today to say that she and her husband had 8" of flood water in their house. Now for the good news!!!!! There is going to be a second car. It is called "Thunderbolt" a jet Dragster. I want to thank Mike "Hojo" with the "Interceptor" police car for finding Joe with the dragster in such short notice. • First, I want to congratulate Richard Cook on his win over John Stelly in the Bracket Finals Run Off. Richard will be going to Redline Raceway on November 15th for the Grand Finale against 9 other teams from other tracks in division 4. The races at Redline will determine the division 4 Champion.
  In the Texas vs Louisiana Shootout….. Louisiana is the WINNER. with 740 points and Texas with 695 points.

  That's BS Randy! Kenneth said he didn't want to RACE until he saw if the converter helped or hurt. And after I saw it helped I made sure I got in back of him and not beside him. I might look like a DUMMY but I ain't that dumb. Plus I wanted you to line me up the second time.   wow here we go. the reason i have talked to all you guy's at the track about this subject is...we all would like to see the car count up,, we have to sides..bracket and index...index racers can run brackets, but their cars are set up for 1/8.. i want to set my new car up for 1/8 index, but would love to run brackets with you guy's...i have talked to other people who feel the same..in sept everyone was asking if the brackets were going to be 1/8 are 1/4..and some bracket regulars said they wher not going to come if it was going to be 1/8 mile...I posted with the name PLEASE ANSWER because I wanted to know PLEASE why we all could not at least open some discution about a compermize that would be good for the track and the racers.. i don't care,and never will, win a dime racing...It is a hobby to me...i do like competing..NOW....everyone who knows me , knows i am a smart azz..BUT i love everyone at that track, from racers to crew to fans..i enjoy everything about it..I will do anything i can to help anyone out their ( heck I GAVE you a set of slicks that i bought with MY hard earned money because they would not work on my car,, i did not ask you to get my money back out of them,,HELL I drove them to westlake for you.and yes i made a special trip just to get them to you...ask boyd..) and know i am not a NICE GUY because i tried to start a convertation about something i think would be good for the sport, racers, and the track...I did it in a smart azz way because i thought that would get things going..Really does that make me a dick ? are is it i don't agree with you? Heck i am going to race one way are the other..just saying...I am just a test and tune guy and have only been in a few bracket races..but if you think i need to bet money against you because of what i said ( and you know my car want make it down the track 3 times LOL ) heres what i would like to do.. I will agree to race you 3 out of 5 ( sarting 1/8 first, if you don't mind ) then after you win that race we go double are nothing on heads up...my heavy azz car with a small block vs you and your big block MOTOR ON MOTOR... • hey fred,would like to make a sugestion for the 10.5, index race,etc....can you talk to tracy an see if the races can start at 12.00 noon with gates opening at 10.00am.i think if we started earlyer in the day things would be better.the track should be good,knowing as we do at 9:30-12:00 at night being cold the track is not so great sometimes.does anybody agree to have the 10.5. index races etc.... start earlyer in the day for nov.14?this is just my thinking but anyone can join in with a comment. - By jesse 10/26/2009 at 09:40:22 PM

  Yall expect the fans to pay extra to bring their families to the track during an event nobody stays to watch because their event doesn't end till 2 am. funny how real drag cars can run (pro stock,funny cars, topfuel) can run during the day .So whats the excuse here? quit cheating the fans and race when they're at the track . see how many more people will come out to watch! The events are disorganized and NEVER start and finish as they are scheduled, not to mention the racers that sit in the pits for 2 & 1/2 hours in between rounds.   No complaint here about oil downs and clean up time, it happens at every track at every race there is no avoiding that but if the races started earlier it would allow some extra time for mishaps, clean ups etc w/o having to race til 2am, some of us have long drives, have kids that come with us, not to metion the track changes as dew settles in and temps fall !!!! • If we could get together for a Drivers Meeting at the track and say 5 or 10 dollar entry so we can have some cook us some bar b que or something, would anyone be interested in attending this. First of all we have to get it ok'ed with the track but we could discuss with the track staff stuff that we see as drivers that may make things move faster or easier for the staff. Now this would be for the T n T guys as well as the bracket and index guys. Maybe if we all come together instead of just getting mad and complaining maybe we can come up with a solution and get more racers and bigger purses for all.   Like I said on the LBB board first we have to ok this with the track. We will never accomplish anything on these message boards because everyone has differant ideas. However if all the drivers interested were to attend after the season meeting with the track personel then we can maybe work out a solution and get the car counts and purses up. • First I want to apologize to the Texas match race team for loosing last night. Couldn’t help it. All I can say is that the weather and the track was biting. I snapped the wheelie bars in half in the first round. At first I was gonna forfeit, but quitting and giving up is not part of my DNA. I figured if I turn everything down to a minimum including the launch rpm I would only pull the wheels about a foot high, maybe 4-5 feet out. Well everyone present seen that this idea didn’t work. It launched ok but it became a different animal about 8 ft. out when it got into the cam. Ben Bruce Airstrip was back up and running. Smashed the oil pan, cracked the front clip in a few places, broke the fan blades and fan motor off the shroud, road rash on the vertical part of the rear bumper, and tore a hole in the parachute bag. Best of all - I DIDN’T CRAP MY PANTS. I think my rear end was too tight to let anything out. Overall everything is fixable. Be back in a few weeks.   Forgot to say THANKS to Fred for giving me the opportunity to run in the match race. It didn't go quite how I had visioned it, but it was interesting, and entertaining to the fans. Wasn't too much fun while it was happening though. The track was outstanding. I wasn't expecting that. I even put 50lbs in the nose of the car supposedly to help keep it down. Had to have been the air and the track surface. • Guys,the season is nearing its end and I just have food for thought here till next year.Last night,so I am told,was one of if not the largest car count ever at the Dale.Now,think what the payout would be if all or even most of those cars were entered in the das and bracket races!!!AWSOME!!!! I talked with Mr.Faszio a bit about this and we are both on the same page here.Some of the t&t guys may feel a bit intimidated by some of the bracket cars or you all are afraid you will screw up or something.Yeah,chit happens but what if its your night?You could be a big winner.And still t&t till your foot freezes to the gas pedal.I think you gotta look at the big picture here.Big car count,big payout.It's really all up to you guys as to how much bucks you want to race for and how much prestige goes with a win.Example:Mr. Richard Cook.One of the finest gentlemen you would ever want to know.Richard has been a bracket guy for a long while.Now he sits atop the heap and representative of our group in a national event.My hat is off to you,Mr. Cook.If I can be of any assistance in your quest for national prominence just let me know.Be my pleasure to give ya a swift kick in da butt!!!HA!!! We weren't able to get the Cog-Drive and the other stuff installed and tested.   Sorry Eric I am not gonna be able to make it this weekend its the Wifes Birthday and we have prior comittments. However a friend is gonna run my truck in the indexes to help the car count at the Dale and Ricky's race. He supported my Truck bash so I feel we should do the same for him. But we have been to Houston several times this year and yes they have some really bad#####racers over there. we loved the track there but since Fred put the new compound on the track and it hooks so we now we don't see the need to make the long haul as often. But when we do go we usually make it a 3 day run. TNT on Friday night 1/4's on Saturday and 1/8's on Sunday. By Monday we are so whooped that we barely make it to work. • If any of the race care guys have been wondering about what to do with the Silsbee cruise and the races I have got your answer. I just talked to Johnny and he said he wants you race car guys to come to the car show. He said that he would make the race car class shorter. What that means is get there by 10:00 and leave by 2:00 so you can get to the races at the Dale. He wants everyone to be able to do both. Go to Silsbee and then go straight over to the track.   I think its the "add or sumthin" on your part. It all adds up to me. You got to remember that on the semi's, they are giving it to 2 cars not just one and on the quarters, its 4 cars not just one.   well after that 1.20 (60') spinning tires loss of 1st round, I thought it was time to load up and go home. Also right past the 1/8th mile I had a vibration going on for a second and then go away (hoping it was just tire shake and not trans or convertor). How did you like THEM .500's for reaction time back to back? My luck started off great then went south quick after that. • Don Moss I got your message this morning sorry I wasn't able to return your call. I tried to set you up a match race but I wasn't able to get everyone into the matches that I would like to had. However you can pick out any La. Bad Boy you wish to run and have a grudge race at yalls terms meaning pro or sportsmans tree as well as 1/8 or 1/4 mile. Like I said when all this race got started I didn't want to be the race matcher but I was trying. So we are only having 5 match races. Thats about all that time would permit. Hell if you wanna EZ win just come challenge me and we can grudge if you want. But if you want a real test just get with us and we'll see it happens. • Hey all you test n tuners...We have tried to stay with the test sessions. It does seem to work better than sitting dead in the lanes. This makes all the races run faster also. So...this Sat we will call you up to the lanes when we can run ya'll. When we announce that the test session is over please don't come to the lanes, because we will turn you around.
