Things will be brought up and most likely voted on. So if you don't like something that was voted on then its your own problem for not going to the banquet and having your voice heard. There was some partents and peoples children were treated very poorly by some at the track and it was not anyone from the swjr series. You can treat grown ups poorly and they will probably return, you treat someones kid poorly you will never see them return! I am sure this has something to do with why they are not scheduled to return to Evadale. - By That's enough about that! 1/28/2012 at 01:33:05 PM I was attending the race in question.It was the 2-day event for the jrs.As usual.it was all Mike Bruce!He wanted to rush the whole event because he didn't want to pay the staff any more than he had to.He didn't even want the cafe open so a whole lot of staff went from 8:00 am till late evening that Saturday running on empty!It's the same as always:Mike won't do a #### thing to make things better at that track unless it's his idea because he DOES NOT WANT THE TRACK TO GROW.Like the p a system for example.The guy that announces has a sound company and can fix the stuff for little or nothing but the track won't do business with him because he won't put in JUNK. We need 15 cars so the owners won't have to pay transportation fee. The NHRA cert is not recognized by IHRA. All drivers running a 9.99 1/4 or a 6.49 1/8 is required a competition license. This Sat we are dedicating staging lanes 1 & 2 for license passes. 3 passes for 1/8 mile license & 5 for 1/4 mile license. The fee is $60. The issue is the way the track does its deals with those who want to put a race on there. Once you and Tony packed the facility with the 10.5 race yall put on ol Mike said why are we letting them make all the money, its our track. So its sucks for anyone wanting to put a race on at Evadale because no matter what they get the normal tech card and spectator money and the promoter is having to try and get there money from the extra $10 from spectators and $5 from tech cards. This makes its almost impossible for any promoter to do any good here and have a program that can support itself! I applaude Bonnie on her efforts! So they charging all this extra money with a facility that can barely manage a bracket program. If some would just think long term rather than short term and get a program running that can eventually support itself they try to get rich quick and we see where this has got them. That would be 20 cars in one class to run for $350/$150. Thats 5 rounds of racing for $350. Now put that whole $50 entry there and then its $700/$300. Class supports itself brings in more cars more spectators so yes its the tracks fault they are taking tech card money then charging entry fee money. Only place around doing this and it shows in car count and attendace. Again this track could be the sh!t! The Falcon did not courtesy stage during qfy and I let it go. When he did not courtesy stage during rounds, he DQ'ed. Read the rules, plain and simple! As far as the board, it has not been shut down at all to the best of my knowledge however I have not been on it since the last race until this week.... With what I was dealing with I should have cancelled the last race but I had a commitment and I was there. The reason if you must know, was due to a custody battle for my granddaughter. I have been in and out of court and extremely stressed out for the past 3 months. She was nearly killed by a member of her household. Her Father (my son) died when she was 5 months old and now at the age 10 years old her LIFE was in danger, so I had to deal with a very bad situation to protect her. So the FACTS are: I put my family first to protect my 10 year old granddaughter and that is the facts, however she now lives with me and “WE” are ready for the 2012 race season and if the Falcon ever races with us again and does not courtesy stage, he will be DQ’ed again! You have a nice day! - By Chris Rhodes 11/8/2011 at 01:37:41 PM Shoes on da track will help but only to a certain degree - you need multiple equipment on the track to make a significant reduction in clean up time! Again not a theory, it's seen at every other track. We know the equipment is way past it's normal life cycle & is bandaided but please let us that know how to run equipment help! We had another meeting to resolve a lot of issues but nothing has been implemented. We also know clean up's are going to happen, it's just nature of the beast. On average It takes just under an hour for a good size clean up but for us it take at least two hours! Now some may say well ok that’s double but we understand because it's one man on equipment and we know his hands are tied with Mike - but that's for one clean up. Saturday we had three waiting in the staging lanes. That's 5-6 hours of nothing going down the track after the race has started and As bad as it is on us stuck in the lanes, think about the spectators in the stands sitting there for 6 hours watching nothing! THE TRACK HAS TO MAKE SOME CHANGES - PERIOD! Mike & Fred have to see this by now, because it's going down fast. I just hope they do it quick or turn it over to some one.
