At first glance the Tundra may seem barren and desolate of food; however there are plenty of grass, moss and shrubs just underneath the layers of snow. During the summer months there is no need to scrape for every mouthful, but the temperatures can be deadly during the winter. On most nights the Northern Lights dance across the sky.
