There is a lot of people that know Donna Campbell that works in the office. Her Dad Lindbergh Parsley passed away on Sunday. Visitation will be at Broussard's Funeral Home in Silsbee off of Hwy 96, from 5 pm - 8 pm on Tues. April 30th. The funeral will be at 10 am Wed. May 1st at Broussard's. Had all intentions on being at the race but the grandkids would have had to come and it's just to much for us old folks to watch a 3and 4 year old at home much less at the track for a day and a half. I am not trying to one up on Gary. But I spoke with Fred on Monday and for those of yall that want a race the track has agreed to allow us to put together some index races in the pits. After our conversation we have decided to have a 5.80 and 7.00 1/8 mile index entry fee will be decided by the racers participating in the races it will pay winner and runner up, get this all cars allowed that Door Cars, Alters or roadsters and dragsters as well as motorcycles if you want to race here it is. Also we were wanting to have a 9.90 index for the 1/4 mile guys this class will allow any race vehicle or bike as well and throttle stops will be allowed for the 1/4 mile races only. Hope we can get enough cars to run a field in each class. I know of at least three people that arew goinng to run the 5.80 and maybe have 6 already will know before next week. As for the bracket race this was not even mentioned nothing against it tho. Deal is we just have our cars tuned and if there isn't enough cars for a class 3 or more that is then there won't be a race. I just found out we will be selling 50/50 tickets as a fund raiser for one of our ex-employees Gary Estepp, that worked at the tech building when the track first opened. He has been battling cancer for several years & making trips back and forth to St. Luke's Hospital in Houston for treatment. This has been tough on him and his family. Now he is on the list over there for a liver transplant. So if you come out to the track on the 15th and/or the 30th please help yourself and Gary by buying these tickets. I have done the same thing for 3 years. It is just that most of the local groups or "Associations" have disbanded. So to stop all confusion I have removed the statement from the flier and our web site about the association members getting in free. Also less confusion at the front gate.

Thanks to the 1000+ spectators and 185 racers for a great "Hangover Nationals" this past Saturday. There were a lot of very fast cars out. I want to thank all the great racers and fans for the condolences and help my family and I received to get to Kansas after my daughter's passing. We needed and appreciate it so much. Yep Dalton taught the newbie a lesson for sure. But it was fun none the less. All my helpers jumped ship on me and run over to Daltons lane and left me hanging, in fact the one that norally opens the bottles was giving Dalton the drivers door treatment Bahahaha, but it was a great night at the track with ALL the La. Bad Boys and most the Texas guys lol. My last pass had me lining up with Corey Doucet and his LIL Screamin' S10 now you talk about a butt draggin' Corey busted off a great 8.70 against my losing 8.97 and he even let me have my tree, great job Corey you busted off a great passes all night guess I got a lil more work to do to catch you haha. I'm sure we can agree that nobody ever prepares for an event like this. Fred and his family are needing our help. They have to travel up to St. John Kansas in 3 seperate cars for the viewing and then to Whitchita for her to be cremated. In lue of flowers, they are asking that you donate the money to help cover their travel expenses. Checks can be either mailed or brought to the track and cash needs to be dropped off at the track. Due to the worsening economy in the area, we are implementing the following: We will have a limited schedule for 2013. For most of these events, the track will be leased to the promoters of the event. The track will ONLY be open for event leasing or rental. Please call us if you need information on rental for private testing at (409) 276-1910. The �Hangover Nationals� race will still be run on January 5, 2013. We will not be participating in the IHRA Summit Super Series Brackets for 2013. We will remain an IHRA sanctioned track, so applicable safety rules will still be enforced. We really appreciate all the loyal racers, spectators, track sponsors, as well as race sponsors that stepped up and helped with some of the payouts on special events. The question came up about Jr dragsters running this Saturday. Sorry there will not be any running this Saturday, June 23rd, due to the delay waiting for them to return from a run. there is 2 things that didnt work out this weekend.1st was limiting the bracket race to 10.90 and quicker plus no JRs.that left out alot of racers.the second thing is that the racers that could have ran in these classes didnt show up.i wouldnt look for any more index racing out there.you had a garanteed pot and noboy came out.they payed full payout in all classes.i think the blame for this failure goes to not only the track for leaving out the majority of the racers and the other blame goes to the racers for not showing up. - By WOW> June 25, 2012 at 11:07:47 AM

Well there were a few of the La. guys back at the track this weekend. It was a slow day at the track. Corey Doucet brought his fine " Red Rider" out for a few test hits. This is gonna be a very fast car as soon as his gets used to driving a large vehicle again. He say's it's a little differant than driving the S10 I bet it is. The orange S10 as well as Lil Blue was there and congrats to Gage one of our La. Jrs. in winning this weekend. I don't recall any La. guys in the brackets this weekend if I missed you I am sorry.
