Fun week in europe/a wirlwind trip with almost no days off. Playing ancient cities like Koln, Deventer and Nijmegen, for the first time in almost 20 years/yikes.
I never get tired of walking around these haunted old cities/canals, dark bars with candle light, coffee and smell of Drum cigarette smoke. Took the train most days with our friend Steve who took lots of great black and white pictures with real film.
In a good way - I think our fans were coming out to re-connect with old friends as much as to see us.
From my side of the stage - the shows were a great mess/mass, the young Tiny Viper psalms starting things out - dark Weird/Bad America grrl prayer-songs and then Billy storming through a 2 hour evangelical SG sermon-set. A great peanut butter and jelly combination for anyone with patience to follow along. I really enjoyed listening and playing along. Almost too tired for words after 2 weeks of staying up so late. Good stuff - on to USA and Australia next. (always) trying to write some better songs for next album again too. xx Replies:
