The Iron Horse is an odd venue - everyone is sitting down at ####tail tables while the band somehow tries to "rock out" - that feeding off the energy of crowd thing just isn't happening there...I suppose it's similar to the Bottom Line, but these types of venues are much better for singer/songwriter type stuff...anyway...

Short set - just over an hour...seemed like a tuneup for the Paradise show this week...they did pull out Fortune Teller and When You Discover, which were nice to hear - hopefully they'll play those this Friday as well...

The openers - Mean Creek - were great - very reminiscent of a Feelies/Dream Syndicate, later 80s kind of sound...Bill was dead on when he said there was not a stinker in the set...
