Joe is right again. OBAMA didn't stand in front of a 40mpg Chrysler 500 Subcompact assembly line, it was a 15mpg Jeep. So much for energy independence.

Joe, You are right again. I should have hired an energy expert and not a fundraising expert.

But, Nigeria is hoping, with China's money, to increase it's oil production and refinery activities from approx 1.6 to 4 million barrels a day
Angola is increasing it's oil pro. also with help from China. Iraq's oil production is going to be increased thanks to Lukoil( Russia) Total, Stat, Petrob...etc... from Brazil.

Venezuela is increasing it's oil field production with the help from world energy companies, so as to by T72 Russian tanks, etc., and to improve economic development. Meanwhile we democrats are afraid to talk about oil production as if it was OUR enemy. Why does Democratic Senator Kerry drive a 17mpg Cadillac Escalade to his boat and not a 40 mpg Chevy AVEO? So, why do we hate oil when we should be hating ourselves... God must be laughing... Oil production in AMERICA will stay even at approx 5.5 MBa day for the next twenty years. And US liberals think this is great. Yet we want the economy to grow without increasing our own oil production while we are at the same time increasing our CAR AND TRUCK manufacturing? One without the other??? Good luck with that strategy Congressman Maffei.... Meanwhile we are selling 2011 15mpg Jeeps in full page ads in the Post Standard, New York Times, MSNBC, and the liberal blog web site Huffington Post. I talked to one of the Green writers at the Huffington Post and he drives a 18mpg BMW. Go figure. ( see fuel economy .org. ) And Remember, that these vehicles will be on the road for ten years. Why wasn't Obama standing in front of a subcompact 40mpg 500 Chrysler assembly line instead of a 15mpg GRAND Jeep ? Also the USA, along with the rest of the world, has spent 400 billion to upgrade gas engines. Because the tech for alternatives in incomplete. Read some books liberals beside global warming. So, these investments, by the Gov, UAW, Pensions, and car companies will be written off over years so by the year 2021, Gas engines will still be manufactured and needing gas. With China, India and the developing countries wanting to EMULATE American's big car desires, even after OBAMA SAID WE DEMOCRATS SHOULD MAKE sacrifices, the need for record amounts of fuel TO FEED THE CARS WE BUY TODAY will be sold to the highest bidder... That is why we will be still importing 11 million barrels of oil a day in 2030. This is what the democrats won't tell you in their secret meetings.....

Lets see if I am right.

Thanks Congressman Maffei. I guess you are too busy fundraising to study energy issues and you are too busy to answer my letters about energy realities. It's been two years and you did said that your people were working on it. I guess you lied...I'm still waiting.
