In the last week we've found 3 ticks on us or the dog. One I apparently picked up in the little park off highway 48 under the big bridge just east of Kirkfield. The second most likely hitched a ride on the dog when she rummaged in the grass along side the road allowance that runs north from 48 just west of Mitchell Lake. The third she probably picked up in the grasses along Doyle Road. I pass this on because they're the first ticks we've run into in 20 years of having dogs and messing around in grassy/shrubby/treed areas here. Given concerns about Lyme disease, etc., we're checking daily now. Replies: There have been no replies.
