Re(1): I VOTED FOR OBAMA BUT DON'T EXAGERATE INCREASED OIL PRODUCTION NUMBERS.

Joe, sorry about all the Sierra Club members drivind Cadillacs, CRVs, SUVs STDs and V6 sedans at the last meeting.

But you are right. I too, have a March 4th 2008 report that oil production was going to be going up to 6 miilion barrels a day by 2013. Peak at 6.5 in 2020. This Special EIA report was ignored by the editors of the Post and Times when they wrote editorials that Obama increased oil production 3oo.ooo barrels a day because of him. (really they know so little about energy that they didn't even know it exists) This report was done in late 2007 and finished in March, 2008. Obama was not Pres yet.

Also you are right. Petrobras of Brazil ( remember Obama had the I and E bank invest in ) is investing 240 billion in the Tupi area over the next decade to triple oil production to 6 Mb/d in only eight years. Yet us liberals think 300.000 Mb/d is massive in 5 years.

Does Obama and the other liberals know that 5 million EV will only cut 4 billion gallons a year from the approx.125 biilion gallons we use now.

Thats still approx 8 million barrels a day in 2025 needed to drive our vehicles. This is not counting 2.3 miliion barrels a day for big trucks.

So don't go hating big oil just yet.

Increased oil pro. is what is helping to stabilize this economy. The speculatiors are helping us get off big oil and cutting CO2 emiissions and isn't that what we all want?????
