Play, friends, fun - all very strange concepts for the girl. Her ways of having fun were certainly less likely to excite the normal wolf; splashing about in water was not too high up on her list, in fact, it hadn't been there at all until White Storm had lured her in. Kudos to him for being able to do so though, usually she would have simply walked on by laughing to herself at the simplicity of it all. Maybe it had been because there had been a competitive edge added to it. She had to win - had to win everything. Even her shakiness over the rocks was brushed off as winning - she was better at learning, she learnt quick and would soon enough (surely) be able to run over the slipperiest of rocks.
He giggled and she scowled, ears flickering back and gaze swinging to meet his own. She huffed in disapproval, sticking her nose in the air and turning away from him. She would remain as so until he spoke next, but his next words merited a loud burst of laughter, her brows raising up in question as she once more met his gaze levelly. She shuffled about on her paws, taking a moment to observe the feel of the water once more.
"No, no, if you are calling me beautiful than you have obviously not explored enough," she huffed, raising a paw and swirling it through the water. He was silly to be calling her such names - they were for girls who danced about and reveled in male company. Malina was not permitted to have such affairs. She had a job - a job that came before everything else in her life otherwise perhaps she may have been inclined to offer a compliment to the boy. He did almost look like an Angel - white pelt, but his eyes gave it away.
"But yes you are right about the water - it is very nice. My home, we have a great river like this that slithers through the whole land," she shrugged, lowering her muzzle to the water and lapping from it momentarily. It was pleasant - the cool change made the feel over her throat and skin so much more relaxing.
"I will be your friend if you do not wish to be the fishes friends anymore," she said, head tilted as she began to move through the water, moving in a wide circle, though her gaze seldom left his own. Well, it was a start. She'd never had a friend - perhaps it would not be so bad.
