YOLLIE

Name: Yollie (said like "yoh-lee")
Sex: Female
Age: Approximately 24 - 25 years old

Appearance: Yollie, though she has yet to learn to appreciate it, has been blessed with an exotic sort of beauty. She has high cheekbones, almond-shaped mossy green eyes that tip up slightly at the corners and lend her face a feline air, long dark lashes, a smattering of soft freckles, and "beestung" lips. Her skin is naturally tanned year round and can darken to a burnished gold color with enough time spent in the sun. Her hair is currently cut "boyishly" short (just slightly longer than the average crew cut), so the color is a bit hard to figure out, but when/if she were to grow it long it would be a warm mink brown color. She stands approximately five feet, five inches tall and has a more athletic body type. She is not overly muscular, but not flabby either. She could easily appear as a young boy (albeit a "pretty" one) if she dresses in a certain way.

Defects/Oddities: Physically, Yollie's right front tooth has a small, but noticeable, chip out of the corner of it (she tends to play with it a lot when thinking or nervous) and a slightly awkward gait (as if she's not quite sure what to do with her body) that will ease away over time. Emotionally, Yollie is struggling to cope with the transition from dog to fairy and it leaves her a bit... awkward. She's never quite sure what to do with her body, what is appropriate as far as touching, what you are (or are not) supposed to say, and how things, in general, work. She is also devastated by the loss of "her boy", Jaimie, and it's left her pretty heartsick. She has little appetite, low energy most of the time, prone to fits of sighing and staring, etc.

Personality: Currently, Yollie is totally confused and not completely sure what to do with herself. She misses her old family, her old home, her old body, and everything inbetween. It leaves her awkward, a little moody, and desperate to form a connection with someone/something (especially if that someone/something knows more about the world she's found herself in than she does and can sort of "take care" of her). Eventually, when she's not quite as heartsick, she will recover a lot of her original personality and will become outgoing, cheerful, friendly, silly, and optimistic almost to a fault. She's the sort of person who will blindly believe the best of others, even if proven wrong time and time again, and would befriend just about anyone. That being said, though, if she senses violence or a threat towards one of "her people" she will not hesitate to jump to their defense. She is especially drawn to children and small animals. {As a dog, Yollie was the sort that would happily romp all day with children and play nanny, never even dreaming of nipping them even when they tugged on her ears, but the moment someone threatened her kids she would turn into a very intimidating beast, and that's kind of carried over to her fairy personality.}

History: Yollie lived out a blissful thirteen years, a rather generous lifespan for a dog her size, as the adoring Newfoundland/German Shepherd pet of the Kincaid family. She was particularly close with the "baby" of the family, Jaimie, as they practically grew up together and, while she was fond of the rest of the Kincaids, always had a particularly special bond with him. She passed away in his arms one particularly blustery autumn day when he was sixteen years old. When she woke up, she was certain all was well (especially because the pain in her bones had gone and her faded vision had cleared), but soon discovered she was very far from home and that nothing was the same anymore. {Hope this is okay for a history!}
