Freebies are often granted to "all active characters". A character is considered active if it has made an IC post within the last 2 weeks. Posts made after the freebie was posted do not count.

Just wanted to clarify something, since I think I've said this a couple of times recently to a few different people, and it occurred to me today that this isn't how other sites are run so I guess maybe people didn't know.
You can ask for anything on this site.
Seriously. If you want something or fantasise about something, just ask an admin. The worst we can do is say no. And our policy is to never say no unless there's a good reason why not - so I think you'd be surprised at what we'd green light if you just came forward and asked ^__^
In-character plots will nearly always be approved. If you want a certain power, to achieve a certain level quickly, to get a certain level branch, to have a character in a specific position (qualified professional, king, knight, emperor of a bunch of lands, whatever), to join a character with powers/traits/whatever, to have a specific familiar, to add a certain aspect to a game (ic/ooc board, guide, info page, crazy timewarp plot), to run a contest/quest, to judge an existing contest/quest, to run a version plot - whatever you want to do, all you ever have to do is ask an admin. We may not necessarily give you exactly what you want, but we'll sure as heck sit down with you to work out how to get you to where you want to be.
And yeah, that counts for newbies too. Doesn't matter how long you've been on the game. If you are new or haven't posted much and it's a major thing you want, we might ask for some kind of activity commitment before you get the thing that you want, but the wishes of newer players are never considered secondary to anyone else's. If you're committed to the game, everyone gets the same help.

The only requests we will turn down are requests to play original fairies. But if you want to play a deified ordinary fairy, or a demigod, or a god from another universe/fiction who got transported to Shaman in some weird way, just ask.
If you have a suggestion for the game, just say. We love feedback and we take all suggestions, questions, and appeals seriously and do our utmost to try and incorporate all of them. Please don't ever feel like you're too new or not important enough to have what you want, or that something is too big to ask for. We like big dreamers. Big dreamers make for a more fun site for everyone. :)
