salamander and things

Found a blue-spotted salamander today (April 02) at edge of melting snow and grassy area under a cedar tree clump. Very sluggish until picked up, then quite active in my hand.
Also saw killdeer, robins, sandhill cranes. Location: Bluebird Ranch in Carden Twp.
