A fine afternoon in Carden. A Red-shouldered Hawk circling northward over Bluebird Ranch. A Loggerhead Shrike crossed the road by Cameron Ranch. Some snakes must be out, cause a Kestral was carrying one on Shrike Rd - too far away to identify. Several GB herons on the nest on shrike Rd. Lots of common mergansers and ringneck ducks on Canal Lake, plus a flyby from a Caspian Tern.
