Its not the responsibility of the fans to find sponsors for the races or the individual cars. That falls on two entities, first and for most, the sanctioning body. If they are promoting the division, then they need to provide the means to support it. The race fan puts its money down at the gate, so the impetuous is for the sanction to get butts in the seats to support it. You don't see fans bringing sponsorships NASCAR races.

Car owners know the expense involved with the sport. It is up to them to decide how they wish to fund their efforts. It is nice that fans with the ways and means that do decide to have some involvement with a race team, but it is still up to the car owner to find the funding for their efforts. Some with deep pockets continue, others come and go quite quickly. As we all know this is a very expensive hobby, with very little return on investment.

Having been in a crew years ago, and now a distant fan, I understand both sides. I just hate to see the divion suffer as bad as it has the last few years. Don't want to lose them. It just appears nothing going in the right direction. Hope it changes.
