At the Special Pension Board Meeting yesterday, the Board voted to pay the remaining $1600.00 to the eligible Retirees and the remaining $800.00 to the eligible spouses, who were not paid the full amount due them in the Parker Law Suit case. The Board gave authority to the Pension Board Chairman and the Pension Board Administrator to expedite this as fast as possible, but they must work with the City Payroll Department.
This time of year is a very busy time for the Pension Board Staff as well as the City Pay roll Department, so this will take longer than if it was at another time of the year.
Please be patient . The Pension Board and the Office staff will diligently get this due benefit paid as quickly as possible.
