Lorain County Speedway Announces a Major Event for 2015: “ISMA SUMMERCADE”
The ISMA Winged Warrior’s Makes Its First Ever Appearance at “The County”
South Amherst, OH – As the 2015 racing schedule takes shape, L.C.S officials announced that The County will host “ISMA Summercade” on June 26th & 27th. It will mark the first time since 1984 in the tracks history that it will be hosting an ISMA (International Super-Modified Association) event.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to form this relationship with ISMA” said Kevin Bonnema, Owner of Lorain County Speedway. “This partnership would not be possible without the support of the super-modified fan base we have right here in our backyard. Our next step will be to start an extensive search for a title sponsor which will be a necessity for an event of this size. We hope to announce the new sponsor at the start of the 2015 season.”
The announcement makes ISMA the biggest touring series to ever visit Lorain County, as the Winged Warrior’s join the Modifieds, Crate Sprints, Grand Nationals and Chargers on both Friday and Saturday Nights, this will prove to be the event of the year. ISMA is slated to compete for 50 laps on Friday and 100 laps on Saturday.
ISMA President Howie Lane said, “On behalf of ISMA and all the teams, we are very excited to be competing in 2015 at Lorain County Speedway's Summercade. As you know, for most of the teams, it is the first time racing at Lorain County Speedway. I feel that it will be a very fast, competitive race on Friday night and more exciting on Saturday as teams learn from Friday's race and make adjustments to be faster. We are all looking forward to this event in 2015.”
The final 2015 schedule, including additional racing events and related information, will be announced at a later date this winter.
