Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Aspen didn't know what she was expecting. How dare she come to this place chasing after some boy? Jumanji was hardly worth it. Hell, he was never worth it. Though she was sharp as a tack, brilliant, beautiful... she wasn't worth feeling for. Aspen knew that much, and yet she'd chased him here anyway. How dare she show up in a place where she was expected to be cared for and looked after, a place that had nothing to do with her. A place where there was no one to look out for her but herself. Stupid girl. No one could shut her in, stupid boys. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Everything hurt, straight through to her lungs.

The pain was always in her lungs. That was the worst part of it all, feeling straight through where her chest wouldn't fail her. The chest aspect of it... everything important was in her chest. All the things that made her a functioning creature, a predator that could hunt and protect herself. The stubborness in her heart, that was key. Probably the number one thing, the things that kept her from letting something bigger eat her. Then again, nothing pretty ever got eaten. Beauty was a defense mechanism. If it's pretty it lives on to destroy itself because everything (and Aspen means everything)leaves you alone.

She would know. There were still a few hours of light left when she pulled herself to one of the low shelves created by the crags. That made sense, right? Sit up where you can see everyone. Everyone could see the creature that was comprised mostly of mildew and bad feelings, but she trusted that no one would look. She was pretty. They'd leave her alone. The starlight drifter knew it was only a matter of time. She'd wash up somewhere new soon. Maybe it was all a bad dream.
