Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Astrid nodded her head at Sleekwing’s response, glad that at least in the near future food would be secured. As he was displaying presently Hollowpoint didn’t make the most valuable hunting companion. Though his sister often tried to teach him to slip around soundlessly on his light paws or fly effortlessly over the plains with his agile body he could just never quite get it right and scared their prey away more often than not. Running with an experienced pack would be a welcome relief. Astrid had come to sit just out of reach of the lakes water as it ebbed and flowed while the two wolves mucked up the water.

Hollowpoint was thrilled that his aim had been so on point and that he had successfully drenched his target. He pranced happily in the shallow waters, his slender legs stepping high, his wet tail cutting the air behind him and slinging droplets here ant here. For good measure he let out a few barks of triumph, fully consumed with parading about he didn’t notice as Sleekwing steered closer to Astrid and sent a paw-ful of water in her direction. Silently he cursed to himself, knowing that though the gray wolf had meant it in gesture Astrid rarely took well to such raucous acts. Astrid had taken the opportunity, after a pointed rolling of her eyes at her brothers antics, to groom herself from last night, picking bits of dirt and gravel from her white shoulder and sides when she suddenly received a face full of water.

The she-wolf jumped up sputtering and shaking, specks of water flying from her with a surprising velocity. “HOLLOWPOINT!....oh” she started, her tone dangerous until her ice blue and gold gaze landed on the smirking form of Sleekwing looking all too guilty before taking off after the black, darting form of her brother again. She shook her head, oddly surprised that her anger had died when she realized her brother hadn’t splashed him. Was she so hard on her own blood and lenient on a near stranger? She shook her head which had taken most of the water and her thick fur tufted out around her. Feigning nonchalance she watched the two wolves play in the water from her peripheral vision.

It didn’t take long for their careening to bring them closer to her part of the shoreline once more. Only when the heather gray form of Sleekwing was closest to her did she move in a burst of speed that was belied by her size, her thick frame splashing only once into the water before she leapt at him with surprising aim and what might have been a grin on her face. Her goal was to hit him fairly dead on, tumbling them both into the shallow water and drenching him tenfold what he had done to her, never mind that she would get soaked in the process. Hollowpoint threw on the breaks as soon as he saw his sister’s movements, so quick they were usually only reserve for when she was hunting. He never quite got over the surprising grace with which she could move at moments like this as she sailed through the air towards Sleekwing. Careening to a stop in the water he burst into a fit of barking laughter at the entire sight. “That’ll teach him, ‘eh Astrid?” he managed between bursts of laughter.
