RETURN TO MANSFIELD AND FASTEST SHORT TRACK SHOW IN THE WORLD HIGHLIGHT 2015 SLATE
SANDUSKY, OH, February 9th, 2015 – Over the weekend, the premiere Midwestern traveling series for a type of racecar “described as the best kept secret in American motorsports”, the winged supermodifieds, released a tentative schedule for their upcoming fifteenth season, highlighting eight race dates at five different Ohio motorsport facilities. This schedule includes a date at the recently reopened Mansfield Motorsports Park, as well as the annual Toledo Speedway date in conjunction with the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprint 410 sprint car series in order to provide open wheel fans with the “fastest short track show in the world”.

For the initial race of the 2015 schedule, the series will roar into the “north coast home of the supermodifieds”, the Sandusky Speedway in Sandusky, OH (home of the world famous Cedar Point amusement park) for a thirty lap feature event on May 9th. “The world’s fastest short track racecars” will be accompanied by the Main Event Racing Series outlaw-bodied super late models as well as the speedway’s Street and Hobby Stock divisions. The series will return to the half-mile automobile racing facility for the second of four race dates on May the 30th as the headliner for the Open Wheel Spectacular, featuring the newly revamped non-wing Buckeye Super Sprint Series and the track’s modified division.
June 12th will bring the aforementioned “fastest short track show in the world” to the Toledo Speedway in collaboration with the winged Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprint Series. On June 20th, MSA will make its first trip to the high banks of the Mansfield Motorsports Park since August of 2006 as well as the first supermodified race at the half-mile facility since August of 2008. The Mansfield date will be in coordination with the FASCAR Modified division.
The series will not convene to battle again for another month, but when they do, they storm into the New Philadelphia hills for some “Thunder in the Valley” at the three-tenths mile Midvale Speedway. The track’s late model, street stock, compact, and mini truck divisions will also be in attendance for the July 18th date. The series will then take a week off for the Hy-Miler Supermodified Nationals at the Sandusky Speedway (July 23rd-25th), sanctioned by the International SuperModified Association.When the series returns to its routine, they will do so
When the series returns to its routine, they will do so at the Lorain County Speedway in South Amherst, Ohio for a thirty lap event around the three-eighths mile oval on August 1st. The series will return to Sandusky for the 4th annual Jaycox-Reed Memorial Race, an annual event remembering influential supermodified owners Ralph Jaycox and Don Reed, which will take place on August 29th. The series will be joined on the schedule of events by the track’s Street and Hobby Stock classes.
The final race of the 2015 racing season will be competed on Adkins Glass Championship Night, as the stars and cars of the Midwest Supermodified Association presented by Adkins Glass compete for the championship on the half-mile Sandusky Speedway. Joining them will be the Ohio Stocks, Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Hobby Stocks to make a full five division lineup.
