Hello. This is my first time posting on the TRFPA website but I plan on posting somewhat regularly in the future. I have volunteered to be a reporter of sorts for both retiree groups. I am going to contact personally any active or retired TFR member who is having a medical or other type of difficulty.(or their nearest family member). I will then do a friendly interview to find out the situation and if the person has any specific needs. I will then send out whatever information the member wants to release through several channels. My report will be posted here, sent to Maureen Patricio for forwarding to actives as the department sees fit and sent to the Tampa Retired Firefighters secretary to be put out to that group via email. I am also copying in Local 754 and the Presidents of both retiree groups. I currently have email addresses for a small group of TFR retiree who I will be contacting via their email to see if they want to be part of a TRFPA email group that I am setting up solely to get this information out. If you want to get these reports via email, please contact me @368-5346 . I will be at the next luncheon to answer any questions and also give verbal reports I have gathered. Chief Lynn is good with these initial steps towards setting up a system to help each other out where needed and keep each other aware of serious difficulties other members may be having.
