FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
THE PIE FACTORY RETURNS AS SPONSOR OF REVAMPED BUCKEYE SUPER SPRINT SERIES
Sandusky, OH, March 27th, 2015 – The Sandusky Speedway has had an influx of announcements this week, consisting of many sponsorship renewals and new sponsors. The trend continued today as the speedway announced that The Pie Factory Bakery and Pizzeria would return as the title sponsor for the newly revamped non-wing Buckeye Super Sprint Series.
The local Erie County bakery and pizzeria was founded in 2008 as Jim and Beth Kimberlin started a store on W. Perkins Avenue in Sandusky, just a half of a mile from the historic half-mile automobile racing facility that they now sponsor. The couple also serve food at the Riverview Lanes Bowling Center in nearby Huron, Ohio.
The news does not end at a simple sponsorship renewal for the sprint car series however. The group will now also be the official pizza vendor of the Sandusky Speedway. As a result of the extension of this partnership, pepperoni bread will become a new food available at the speedway during the 2015 racing season. The business will also sponsor the August 8th races at the speedway featuring the modifieds, Ohio stocks, street stocks, and hobby stocks as well as race car rides for the children in attendance.
“The Sandusky Speedway family is happy to keep Jim and Beth as well as the entire Pie Factory staff among our ranks for the 2015 racing season. With their continued support and the changes we made during the offseason towards the less restrictive non-wing configuration, we feel that the Buckeye Super Sprint Series is poised for its greatest season yet. Their agreement to come in and complement our existing concessions staff for 2015 also ensures the excellence that you have come to expect here at the speedway”, stated Sandusky Speedway and Buckeye Super Sprint Series owner Kevin Jaycox.
