My speech confuses him for a moment, so much so that he stops and looks around for another who is not there. It makes me giggle, but I do not offer him any form of explanation or answer; he seemed smart enough to piece it together on his own and he had offered me no reason to give him one. I watch in amusement as it slowly clicks for him and he understands me, the little light bulb clicking on in his brain. My tail gives a few waves as he looks back at me and grins, almost like congratulations, you figured it out on your own! Not terribly difficult to do, but to his credit he did it moderately quickly.
"Ah, lasses, pretty or no, do not affect me quite so much as to lose myself to such treacherous footing. It is you, dear lass, that should be careful poised on the edge as you are. It would be quite disappointing to find blood staining that pretty white pelt. I imagine it takes much upkeep to remain as pristine as you are." I can almost roll my eyes at his words, the way they toy with the possibility that he could throw me over the edge. I almost wanted him to try now just so I could give him the surprise of a life time and throw him over instead. If they couldn't hear my screams, they sure as hell weren't going to hear his. "He need not worry about her, she has more than enough practice in cleaning blood from her pelt," A challenge and a warning as he pushed himself so close, that only a few inches were left between us. If anyone's blood was going to stain my pelt, it was going to be his. Of course I would quickly wash it off, because then I would have the unfortunate fate of looking like Seline; a tragedy really because who would want to look like a washed up queen? He sits and stares down at me, trying to intimidate me. I have to contain myself from laughing at his pathetic attempts to strike fear into me. I have stared down ice bears without fear, he was no more than an ant compared to them, one I could squish if he got to be too annoying. My icy blue eyes do not waiver as I stare slightly up at him. In fact they look almost bored, an unspoken question of "is that all you've got?" lingering in them. This male would surely have to step up his game. I ask for his name and it ignites a saucy grin across his face, an unwanted invitation for him to lean in closer to my face. "Shivershade. Yours?" he breathe across my face, but I do not even flinch. "Ailith," I reply swiftly and cooly. Now I had a name to this face, but if he was going to stick around here longer I atleast needed to exploit more from him. "What brings him around here? A simple question, something to keep a pleasant conversation going in a less than pleasant situation. {10 years/Tied to Eric/ |
