Saturday to Be Highlighted by Buckeye Super Sprints and Candy Toss

(SANDUSKY, OH, June 10th, 2015)- This Saturday, June 13th, five divisions will converge upon the hallowed grounds of the Sandusky Speedway in order to create a can�t-miss event. The non-wing Pie Factory Buckeye Super Sprint Series and modified division will represent the open wheel contingent, while the Digital Yalo Ohio Stocks will join the Milan Automotive Street Stocks and the Melinda! Melinda! Hobby Stocks as representatives of the stock car type automobiles. Also taking place on Saturday night will be a penny toss for the kids presented by Mardi Gras Cake and Candy Supplies.

The non-wing sprint cars saw an opening of the rules during the offseason, allowing 410 and 360 cubic inch motors to join the fray with the traditionally 305 powered cars to provide more diversity and possibly increase the great racing witnessed within the division in its prior winged state. Ever since the change, the formerly understated Kartington Raceway car driven by Richwood, Ohio�s Joe Speakman has come alive, winning both feature events contested thus far this season and holding a slight points lead.

The modified division will be the Sandusky Speedway class in attendance. These hybrid stock car/open wheel machines, overpowered for the small eight-inch Hoosier 970 tire that they run on, will see points leader Kenny Sharp compete against the other stars of the division like Jason Drew and Chris Hamilton in order to maintain his heavy points lead. Sharp took a hard hit in the thirty lap special contested three weeks ago when, while fighting for the runnerup position, he and Michigan invader Joey Morisette locked wheels and both ended up hitting the backstretch wall. �The New Bandit� is sure to be on a quest for redemption this weekend after losing the opportunity at the big payday with just a handful of laps to go.

The Digital Yalo Ohio Stock division, a division mixing street stock, truck and template late model bodied cars, will also be a division to watch as the night wears on. Kargo Racing's Jerry Karl has dominated the competition in this division, winning all four feature events thus far in 2015. However, Rich Clingan has shown speed of late and will be tough to beat.

The Milan Automotive Street Stock point standings are led by the #16 Track Kings car of Logan Cooper with two feature wins. However, Mike White is regaining momentum with two feature wins. Unfortunately for White, he had clutch issues that prevented him from running the majority of the second night's events and giving him a huge points deficit. Nipping close at the heels of Cooper for the points lead is Collin Penn, who sits just eleven points out of the lead.

The Melinda! Melinda! Hobby Stock division will round out the racing action with their four cylinder powered front wheel drives. Kelly Lille holds a heavy points lead due to preliminary consistency, however, as of late, cars from other area racetracks have entered the fray with Dan Smith stealing the last two feature wins and Dylan Watson taking the one previous to that.

The cars will begin to fill the speedway pit area at three o�clock, with practice beginning at four. The fields will be set with qualifications scheduled to start at 5:30, and the racing action will commence at seven.
