Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

The walls that Denali had built up around all her emotions, built up high to keep Kaius from getting in and hurting her any further, were full of holes. In these moments, everything she felt was spilling out for Astaroth to see. He had chipped away at her walls to expose her for everything she was, accepting her, flaws and all. It was amazing how quickly the demon had become the center of the small girls world, enveloping himself in every aspect of her life. He had saved her life, in more ways than one, taught her how to be strong, given her a home, and given her a chance at something she never thought she would find: Love. No longer was she the scared little girl who could not even speak up, with him by her side, she had become a strong female. He gave her life a purpose and she wouldn't fail him, she was done failing those she cared about.

It was never more obvious how powerful Denali had become than when her words alone caused the great demon prince to shrink back. She would not allow him to pity himself, to think himself not worthy of her affections. The small girl had long since learned that titles and blood meant nothing and thus should not be used to judge one's self worth. She used the word nobody loosely, not thinking of how it could spark such an anger within her soul. But he was quick to cut her off, his expression now one full of anger. "You're not nobody," he said, the force in his voice causing her breath to hitch in her throat as she fell quiet to listen. "You're the only one that matters. That makes you more than nobody. It makes you more than somebody. You are everybody." Quietly she watched, her silver gaze watching him in silence as he seemed to realize the weight of her words, the true meaning behind everything she had just said. Maybe in the entirety of Moladion they were nobody, but to each other, they were the greatest wolf alive and that was all they would ever need to be happy.

She smiled at him, one of those small smiles saved only for the ones you loved more dearly than anything in the world. He was lost in a trance when she reached out and brushed her muzzle to his, the touch igniting ever cell in her body with the sensation of wholeness. She knew he felt it to, as he embraced her. His touch was gentle, it always was when it involved her. His big, brutish self was always worried he may break the tiny girl, and thus touched her like she was shattered glass. Never did she fear he would hurt her, their bond would not allow it and she knew he would never allow it either. She would forgive him if he did, but she worried he would never be able to forgive himself if something were to happen. Denali loathed the look of fear and guilt in his eyes when she had nearly been killed by Kaius, and she could only imagine how much he would tear himself apart if he had been the one responsible for all the damage she had sustained.

"Then... I want to make you happy forever. For as long as you will have me." he said, his voice so hesitant and unsure. Never had she heard him speak in such a way. Astaroth recoiled back slightly, his mahogany eyes staring deep into her silver ones as a silence over took them. "Is that... okay?" Without hesitation she nodded her head, pushing her face into his chest to try and hide the tears that had welled up in happiness. "Yes, of course it is," she said, her voice rushed out as she tried to find her breath, it having been stolen away by the weight of his words. Never in a million years had she ever dreamed of this happening. She pulled away slightly and looked at him, a smile tugging at her lips. "I love you Astaroth, and I always will," She said, leaning forward on her tippy toes to put her muzzle near his ear. "Forever," she whispered to him, and for him only. The tiny female licked his cheek affectionately. Everything was perfect: Astaroth, her life, this moment. Never would she look back to the wolf she was, the life she had once lived. Both of those had died and now she had been given happiness at last.
