Sunlight drifts into the russet and obsidian masked wolf's den as she sleeps, dreams and nightmares coalescing into a technicolor disaster. Since she had met him, Helios had begun to dominate her dreams; every day she could feel his presence close by and every night the alabaster male would visit her dreams. Some were good, others, like tonights, were tainted with fear. Tobias had made an appearance, and her former mate had not been pleased with her or her imprint.
Just seeing her sun and moon fight in her dreams and been enough to wake her with tears in her obsidian and teal eyes. A longing to leave her den and seek comfort from Helios surprises her, and for a moment, before she remembers that she barely knows him, she almost does just that. With Tobias it had been a childhood infatuation that had evolved and grew as they did into something much more. Their relationship had never been easy, it had been a constant struggle, something always trying to destroy it or them. Now it was worse, it seemed hopeless and Aaliyah had not the faintest idea how to change things, Tobias had made his decisions and now she would have to make hers.
Lifting her elegantly crafted skull from her front paws, the masked angel stretched, first front limbs then back before wiggling her way through the entrance of her den to sit halfway out of it, leaving her rump still in it's warm confines. Helios was usually close by, he had been since they meet, and honestly it comforted the girl; him being close just felt right.
Her breathes huffs like smoke from ebony nostrils as the cold air is exhaled. He is not here, he was before but the scent is old. The sheer emotions he already had the power to stir, scares the masked wolf more than anything Tobias had ever done. Aaliyah scolds herself at her being sad that her imprint was not here as she wiggles her way back into the depths of her den; leaving only her nose exposed to outside world. Of course he wouldn’t stay forever, no one ever did.
Drifting in and out of a restless sleep it is the feeling that Helios is close that wakes her before any noise he makes, it as if suddenly her body seems to come alive again. Her ivory tail makes one quick, hard thump against packed dirt floor of her den before she reclaims control of the appendage. Whether he was her imprint or not, her wall would not be coming down; that mistake had already been made. She didn’t think she could handle it if it happened again.
Nothing, however, could be done about the happiness that gleamed in her eyes at the sight of him. Dipping her crown to inspect what he dropped, relief fills her at the realization that she could actually eat this! It wasn’t another wolf! “Thank you.” Her voice breaks the silence as she lifts her head back up to smile at her imprint before leaning over to rip a piece of meat from the leg. Teeth work and tear at the flesh before she swallows it, allowing her voice to slip smooth from her lips like honey, this time in her native tongue, before she leans over to take another bite. “Potestis intelligere me?”(Can you understand me)
