DANCE WITH THE DEVIL TONIGHT
Blood spatters mark me like the Angels of her bloodline, though my black and crimson eyes dare to tell of my association with darker blood. She doesn’t appear to be off-put by my gory appearance and the glimmer of happiness within her eyes gives me a pleasantly strange sensation. I loved her. Would it be too forward to say so? I don’t even understand how it could even be right to think it. I had barely met her a day ago and knew little other than her name and her possible heritage - not that it mattered much to me in the end.
She appears to be appreciative of what I had brought her - that’s good - and the smile only causes me to believe so ever more. The heavily accented voice that comes from her entices me further; I only want to be closer to her. I fight back the urge to step closer, my massive figure hovering over the chunk of flesh that she now tears away at, but I am unsure of how long I can keep fighting these feelings. Winter is temptation for us all and being so near to her does not help the fact that I can do nothing. Yet I know that her pheromones are not the only reason why I desired a closeness with her.
I continue to watch her ever so patiently until she chooses to speak again, though this time I do not comprehend anything that is spoken. I tilt my head slightly, rounded ears perking forward as I look inquisitively into her teal and black blotched optics. ”I don’t understand…” My deepened baritones reverberate through the rock and snow capped scenery. I didn’t understand her but I wanted to with all of the determination that was left within me. I had little to strive for any more in my life since disowning my family cult but Aaliyah has made it all worth it. For her I would sacrifice anything.
