Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

this is the end

My life has been anything but perfect. My father was never really around and my mother spent all the attention she could on River and I but my brother was a wanderer by nature so he didn't stick around for long. My mother was a good wolf and a great mother. She did all she could for us but the sickness never went away after we were born. I watched as day after day, her strength drained until there was nothing left of her. The glimpses I caught of my father was when he left meals for her. River and I picked at some of the corpses as we grew and tried to save the most for mother but she never ate and then one day she didn't move anymore, not even to breathe. I was still young and didn't understand death so I didn't leave her side for days. I watched father go crazy and attack another wolf, one just as young as I was, maybe even younger. I watched him follow another wolf away from the den and away from Diveen forever. I didn't see him again until two years later. I went to the grotto and found him but we didn't talk long. We didn't really have much to talk about.

I used to have purpose when I lived in Diveen. I wanted to be a warrior, to defend my family and my friends but that purpose was taken when I chose to leave Diveen behind me. Now I wander aimlessly and without Bella to provide for and protect, I have nothing left. Maybe in this moment, Malleah is my savior as much as I am hers. I need someone to provide for, some kind of purpose in life. Maybe that could be her and her daughter, if only for a little while.

She answers back my smirk with her own and I feel the tension easing between us. I chuckle at her comment. "I guess you could say that." I can tell she's getting more uneasy as the conversation goes on. I've never been a parent so I cannot know the worry one must feel for their offspring. Still, I catch on pretty quick. When I offer to hunt for her, she seems surprised, asking why I would do that. I shrug my shoulders. "I don't mind at all and why not? You need the food and I need the exercise. It's not like I have anything else planned for today." I offer another teasing smirk, letting her see the humor in my eyes. She offers to help and I shake my head. "Absolutely not. You should be spending time with your kid. Let me do all the work. I insist."

She says she craves anything and I nod my head. "That should make it easy. I guess I should get to work then. Where should I meet you?" I ask politely.
