On the earlier post about the island of Okinawa, I was going to mention the island of Diego Garcia where post Vietnam War era Seabees served very frequently...I was wondering how that island got a Latin sounding name.. just being inquisitive. I learned there was and is a very tainted history of the island and the Seabees are mentioned in a very clandestine manner...pull this up on Google about the treatment of island inhabitants and their dogs!
