1965…Six members of Team 1104 were air-evacuated from Dong Xoai, including Marvin G. Shields who died during the flight to Saigon.

1966…NMCB-7’s base camp perimeter was attacked by an estimated 15 Viet Cong which evolved into a six hour firefight resulting in no NMCB-7 casualties and 5 Viet Cong killed.

1968…Team 7402 compound in Binh Duong Province was mortared, wounding one Seabee and causing minor damage to the team compound and equipment.
…NMCB-40/NMCB-74 BEEP commenced.
…CAPT J.J. Killeen, CHC, USN, Force Chaplain, COMNAVFORV visited NMCB-40 at Camp Shields.
… A patrol from MCB-5 detonated an explosive device two miles south of Dong Ha on the 10th, seriously wounding one man.
…Radm James V Bartlett, CEC, USN and Capt. J.M. Hill, CEC, USN, visited the NMCB-11 My Chanh River bridge site.

1969…From 0020 to 0320 on 10 June, Condition Red was set at Camp Wilkinson while Camp eagle sustained two ground probes and approximately 40 RPG rounds. Later that day an Army jeep burned near an NMCB-133 road crew working in Phu Gia Pass. The Army attributed the cause of the fire to a delayed action incendiary device placed or thrown into the jeep. Two Army personnel were badly burned but there were no NMCB-133 casualties.
…Camp Campbell came under 122mm attack at approximately 0120. One rocket impacted within the camp area. The generator plant and equipment and a 5-ton truck suffered major damage. There were no personnel injuries.
…RADM Dillon, COM3NCB, visited NMCB-4 at Camp Adenir and was briefed on the Battalion’s construction progress and schedules

1970…NMCB-7 completes it’s fourth and final deployment to RVN and becomes the last MCB to occupy Camp Shields, Chu Lai which had been built by NMCB-10 in May of 1965
…NMCB-121 Detail Golf, consisting of 11 men, deployed to Hill 37.
…RADM A.R. Marschall, COM3NCB, in the presence of notable guest from the 32NCR, III MAF, and XXIV Corps, U.S. Army, presented the Peltier Award to NMCB-62 for fiscal year 1969.
…NMCB-5’s paving crew at Camp Haskins North completed 12.55 miles of paving on QL-1 over Hai van Pass north of Da Nang.
…Capt. C.F. Krickenberder, Jr., CEC, USN, COMCBLANT, visited various projects in NMCB-10’s area of operation.

1971…CBMU-302 NAVCAT 20 was deployed to Nam Can to construct 100 dependant shelters
