Petty Officer third class Charles E. Koberlein, WIA on 29 September 1970 and died on this day October 9, 1970, of injuries received in a mining incident.

1970 - Services were held Monday for Charles E Koberlein, 22, a petty officer
third class in the Seabees, who died October 9 in Vietnam from injuries received
September 29 when a landmine blew up a truck he was driving. He is the son of
Ernest and Ruth Misner Koberlein.
