1968…The officers of NMCB-22 gave a farewell party for Lcdr. A.H. Carpenter, CEC, USNR, Executive Officer of NMCB-22 and the officers of the U.S. Army 15th Transportation Corps. Attending were Radm. J.V. Bartlett, CEC, USN, Commander 3rd NCB, Capt. J.R. Fisher, CEC, USN, Commander 30th NCR, LtCol. A. Schlim, U.S. Army, Commanding Officer 159th Aviation Battalion.

1969…NMCB-121 Advance Party consisting of 6 officers and 95 enlisted men deployed to Camp Haskins South to conduct the NMCB-121/NMCB-8 BEEP. An addition 14 enlisted men arrived on 09 November to augment the Advance Party.
…NMCB-62 Advance Party, consisting of 1 officer and 18 enlisted men, departed Camp Barnes, Dong Ha for return to CBC Gulfport.
…NMCB-11 Detail Yankee returned to Camp Haines.
…NMCB-8’s Advance Party arrived at at Point Mugu after departing Camp Haskins South on 31 October.
…NMCB-1 completed several Civic Action projects during its 1969-1970 deployemnt including the reconstruction and expansion of two village marketplaces, construction of Hue Stadium flagpole, construction of a hamlet dispensary, construction of a footbridge and the upgrading of a secondary road. The Battalion’s Civic Action teams were assigned in small elements to assist the local inhabitants on a self-help basis providing materials, technical advice, and assistance. A complete planning and estimating study was employed on each project and material was carefully monitored. This prevented the loss r theft of any significant amounts of project material. The self-help concept worked well with the Seabees giving technical assistance and teaching skills as necessary. It was considered an important element that Homeport selection and training of civic action personnel had been implemented

1970… NMCB-3 second increment Advance Party arrived at Camp Haskins South.
