1950NMCB-3 was commissioned. Its first deployment was to Amchitks, Alaska followed a six year series of deployments to accomplish the construction of the Cubi Point Naval Air Station in the Philippines. NMCB-3 completed five deployments to RVN

1966 NMCB-58 completed the FLSG-A Parking Area/Open Storage Area (tag 1 on Camp Books map), a project which had begun on 01 August 1966, in the vicinity of Buildings 8, 22, and 23 at Camp Books. Camp Books was located in the Red Beach Da Nang complex just across Route 1 from Camp Haskins and was a major source of work for NMCB-58 throughout the 66-67 deployment

1967NMCB-58 Advance Party, consisting of 3 officers and 62 enlisted men, arrived at Camp Haskins North to commence camp and construction takeover, and begin the BEEP. The second increment arrived on 24 November, consisting of 3 officers and 60 enlisted men.
The NMCB-5/NMCB-11 BEEP commenced.

1968 CDR C.J. Matthews, Commanding Officer NMCB-58 and members of his staff visited Camp Shields on a Predeployment visit.
NMCB-1 obtained final approval of plans and began work on the expansion of Phu Loc Quarry to include, in addition to the existing two quarries and two 200 ton per hour crushers, one 75 ton per hour crusher, and a 150 ton per hour asphalt plant and facilities to support 2 asphalt paving crews
MCB-10 Detail Hotel departed Battalion base camp for Quang Tri to install a pumping station for the POL farm. The Detail returned on 18 Nov 68.
MCB-10 Detail Juliet departed Battalion base camp for Tan My to operate a sand-loading facility.

1969CAPT J.R. Fisher, NAVFACENGCOM and CAPT J.E. Powell, COM30NCR visited NMCB-74 at Camp Hoover.
NMCB-62 Detail Marlin rejoined the Battalion at Camp Barnes.
NMCB-53 Detail Whiskey, consisting of CPOIC CUCM Chancey and 36 enlisted men rejoined the Battalion from the Lang Co Bridge project.
Awards ceremony at Secondary Bridge #1. COL Thanh Province Chief, presented Vietnamese awards to twenty-two NMCB-11 personnel for work performed during construction of secondary bridges.
NMCB-11 Details Zulu and Papa returned to Camp Haines.
NMCB-4s Detail India returned by truck convoy from the ROK Marine camp near Hoi An.
NMCB-1s BLH asphalt plant at Phu Bai produced 1,005 tons of asphalt
The Dong Ha electrical distribution system was completed on 15 November as scheduled.

1970NMCB-3 commenced reconstruction of London Bridge on Highway TL-540 and Cooper Bridge on Highway ML-12 which were damaged by the flood waters of Typhoon Kate.
