1966…NMCB-4 began construction of the first concrete batch plant (of home made design) in Chu Lai.

1967…The NMCB-6 Advance Party, consisting of 2 officers and 18 enlisted men departed Da Nang by MAC airlift for CBC Davisville.

1968…Seabee Team 0511 closed its site at Bao Trai, Hau Nghia and redeployed to Go Dau Ha, Tay Ninh Province, establishing a team site at that location.
…NMCB-121 Bridge Recon Team received 8 rounds of 60mm mortar on Route 1 at map coordinates ZD152 010 with no casualties resulting.
…NMCB-62/NMCB-74 BEEP commenced.
…NMCB-8’s Advance Party arrived at Camp Wilkinson in preparation for relief on NMCB-3.

1969…RADM J.V. Bartlett, COM3NCB, dedicated the new two-story high school at Bo De School which was an NMCB-1 Civic Action Project
…NMCB-22 completed 22 towers for the ROK 2nd Marine Brigade. This project included the construction of twenty-two 60-foot high timber observation towers for the ROK Marines at Hoi An. The towers were prefabricated at Camp Haskins North and flown by C-54 Flying Cranes to their respective locations for placement.
A 6 to 8 man crew prefabricated the towers and a similar crew was deployed to the ROK Marine Camps to prepare foundations, and then receive and install the towers.

1970…CAPT J.E. Washburn, CEC, USN, COM32NCR, CAPT R.W. Loomis, CEC, USN, Chief Staff Officer, 3 NCB, and CDR C.V.W. Popowich, CEC, USN, CO NMCB-1, conducted a tour of the Battalion’s Delta project sites.

1972…Seabee Team 74-11 relieved Team 40-06 at Tan An
