1966…Five members of Team 0907 in two vehicles were ambushed by Viet Cong forces near Phang Rang, Ninh Thuan Province. The Team received automatic and small arms fire as well as grenades. The Team returned fire. Two Seabees were seriously wounded with one Viet Cong killed in action and one wounded.
…For the first time in Seabee history, an NMCB-11 Provisional Rifle Platoon commenced twenty-four hour security and civic action work in the local hamlet of My Thi.
…RADM T.R. Weschler, USN, CO of NSA Da Nang visited NMCB-4 at Camp Shields.

1967…CAPT E.G. Underhill, Chief of Staff, CBPAC, visited NMCB-62 at Camp Campbell.
…NMCB-9 deployed a detachment of 1 officer and 113 enlisted men to Happy Valley quarry and crusher to quarry and crush rock for road and concrete work.

1968…An NMCB-62 working party repairing a bridge on Route 1 (L7014, AT933893), 7 miles north of Camp Haskins South, came under rifle and automatic weapons fire several times during the day. One pickup truck was slightly damaged. An NMCB-62 truck convoy was ambushed at 1100 on Route 1 (L7014, AT936907) 8 miles north of Camp Haskins South. A command detonated mine initiated the attack which was followed by rifle and automatic weapons fire. One Marine was wounded. No NMCB-62 casualties were sustained.

1969…NMCB-74 Main Body began departing Camp Shields, Chu Lai via C-141 aircraft for CBC Gulfport. The movement was complete by 15 February 1969.
…NMCB-58 Detail Quebec, consisting of 1 officer and 97 enlisted men, assumed control of the Cam Lo Quarry.
…Cdr. D.E. Becher, MC, USN, Staff Medical Officer, COMSERPAC, and Cdr. C.H. Swift, CHC, USN, Staff Chaplain COMCBPAC conducted a Management Inspection visit of NMCB-22 Medical and Chaplain departments, respectively.

1970…NMCB-121 Detail Bravo, consisting of two Equipment Operators, deployed to Hill 270.
…RADM J.G. Dillon, COM3NCB and CAPT J.E. Washburn, COM32NCR visited NMCB-74 Detail Alpha at Camp Rhodes, Quang Tri and toured job sites.
…Radm. J.G. Dillon, CEC, USN, Commander 3rd NCB and Capt. J.E.Washburn, CEC, USN, Commander 32nd NCR conducted the welcome aboard conference for MCB-10 at Camp Wilkinson.

1971…An NMCB-3 Detail Jupiter equipment operator received a minor leg injury from shrapnel when a truck on QL-1 came under sniper fire.
