1966…NMCB-9 Advance Party, consisting of 110 personnel, deployed to Da Nang on 4 C-118 military aircraft from Point Mugu.

1967…NMCB-133 June Seabee of the Month was selected. EAD2 B.D. Johnson of Headquarters Company.
…After 15 days of around the clock operations, a C-130 aircraft landed at the Khe Sanh Forward Combat Base signifying the completion of NMCB-11’s reconstruction of the 3900 foot SATS runway.

1968…LCDR A.N. Olsen, CEC, USN, assumed duties as OIC, CBPAC DET RVN, relieving LCDR A.S. Poole, CEC, USN.
…122 personnel from NMCB-40 Details India and Golf rejoined the Battalion at Camp Shields.
…At Camp Evans, an NMCB-4 crew constructed an underground messing bunker for the commanding general of the 1st Air Cavalry. It was a 20’ x 10-0’ rigid frame building with two layers of sand-bags and a layer of waterproofing on the roof.

1969…RADM W.M. Heaman, CEC, USN, COMCBPAC, visited NMCB-53 at Camp Haskins North.
…The “Kings Cross Review” put on a show for the NMCB-4 personnel at Camp Adenir. The show was enjoyed by all.

1970…NMCB-62 Detail Kilgore, consisting of 3 men, deployed to Hoi An to drill and develop three wells for the 2nd ROK Marine Brigade.
…NMCB-62 Detail Hollywood, consisting of 1 officer and 56 enlisted men, deployed to Tan Chau. Military Region IV, to construct a Vietnamese Naval ACTOV Base.
…CAPT J.R. Washburn, CEC, USN, visited NMCB-7 at Camp Shields.
…A 60-man NMCB-133 construction force reported TAD to NMCB-5 to construct VNN dependant housing at Thu Duc.
