CHARITABLE ADVERTISING on Web Site There are many worthwhile charitable causes in existence, but we can only accept sponsorship or fundraising efforts on Fusilier Association websites, that specifically support approved Fusilier charities. This essentially means that it is acceptable to use these pages to seek sponsorship for The Fusiliers Aid Society (which includes Fallen Fusiliers), and The Fusilier Memorial fund only. We now have our own dedicated justgiving site (http://www.justgiving.com/fusiliersaidsociety), which you can use to help raise money for your cause. If you let RHQ (Asst Regt Sec) know the specific cause you are raising money for, it will be directed to the correct fund. Messages soliciting sponsorship for causes or charities other than the Fusilier ones mentioned above should not be placed on the message board and may be removed by the Webmaster.

FINAL AUCTION OF REGIMENTAL SILVER AND PROPERTY

Following the re- distribution of Regimental silver and property after the disbandment of the Second Battalion to all elements of the Regiment, the Colonel of the Regiment and Regimental Council have agreed that surplus silver and property should be sold. The sale will generate much needed funds, firstly to be re-invested into the retained property and secondly to support the Regiment. It will also reduce our property insurance costs.
The Auction. RHQ has continued to contract a professional auctioneer, London Auctions to carry out this sale on our behalf. This sale is the final sale of regimental silver and property and there is an eclectic mix of lots to choose from. The auction items can be viewed at the following site:
http://londonauctions.irostrum.com/

The Bidder Information Sheet is attached.

Sale Dates. The online sale opened on 10 November and will close on 1st December 2017

Bidding Process. If you wish to make a bid on an item then you will need to register with London Auctions. The registration tabs is at the top right of the auction page and then follow the instructions to register.

Contacts. If you have any queries with reference to the auction process then please get in touch with London Auctions (not RHQ). Their telephone number is 020 8400 5225 or email:

Return of Bequeathed Property. Please note that this only applies to items in the auction and not those still in use with the Regiment. If members of the Regiment, once they look at the auction site, believe that they presented a piece of silver or property to the Regiment and would like it returned to them then they are requested to please get in touch with RHQ.
Please note that Lot 24, 2 x silver ash trays presented by 2Lts Wisbey and Harris has been removed from the auction.
