CHARITABLE ADVERTISING on Web Site There are many worthwhile charitable causes in existence, but we can only accept sponsorship or fundraising efforts on Fusilier Association websites, that specifically support approved Fusilier charities. This essentially means that it is acceptable to use these pages to seek sponsorship for The Fusiliers Aid Society (which includes Fallen Fusiliers), and The Fusilier Memorial fund only. We now have our own dedicated justgiving site (http://www.justgiving.com/fusiliersaidsociety), which you can use to help raise money for your cause. If you let RHQ (Asst Regt Sec) know the specific cause you are raising money for, it will be directed to the correct fund. Messages soliciting sponsorship for causes or charities other than the Fusilier ones mentioned above should not be placed on the message board and may be removed by the Webmaster.

Beating Retreat and Celebratory Gala Dinner on Saturday 7thJuly 2018
in HM Tower of London.
This will be a prestigious, 'once in a lifetime' event to celebrate our special anniversary, to remember our past with prideand to look forward to the next glorious chapters in our history.
We really want you to join us, so here are the details of the event and how to purchase tickets.
Here are the outline details of our centrepiece event:
Where will it be?
The event will take place in a purpose-built pavilion marquee in the moat of HM Tower of London.
When will it start?
It begins with a Cocktail Party and Beating Retreat at 6.30 pm.This is followed by a three course dinner, with entertainment.All drinks (less spirits) will be complimentary throughout.Carriages will be at 11.30 pm - please note that we must all be clear of the Tower by midnight.
What should you wear?
The Fusilier Regimental Colours will be present, so the dress for Fusiliers, past and present, will be formal: MessKit for officers, warrant officers and non-commissioned officers; Blues or No 2s for Fusiliers.For retired personnel and civilians, dress will be black tie with miniatures.Partners are requested to dress to match the occasion.
The Detail
oThis is a ticketed event.Please note that a VVIP will be attending the event so security will be stringent.
oFollowing negotiation and a subsidy the tickets are now£120per ticket.
oThere are 600 tickets available.
oThis celebratory event is open to all serving Fusiliers, all Fusilier Veterans and friends of the Regiment.
oYou can purchase individual tickets up-to a maximum of 10 tickets per person.You can also block book a table, which seats 10.This allows Regimental members to create their own tables of fellow Fusiliers and their guests – so hopefully you end up on the table that you wish to sit on.If you book a table, you will be responsible for its full payment.
Although the event will be held in the moat of the Tower of London there is a facility for handicapped access.
Closer to the event you will be asked to notify RHQ of any dietary requirements or allergies for youand your guests.
Tickets can be purchased from Sat 16 December 2017 until 1st June 2018
•There are two options to purchase tickets.
Electronic Booking System (preferred) - opening at 1400hrs Fri 15 December.
Through the electronic booking system which can be found on the Regimental Website www.thefusiliers.org

•Where can you stay?
The Planning Team has negotiated some local accommodation deals. You will need to book and pay direct if you chooseto use this facility.Accommodation dealswill be notified via a Regimental Notice in the New Year.
Please note that accommodation will be at a premium in July and so hotels will probably close these arrangements bymid-May at the latest.
Of course, you can book your own hotel directly using the various hotel booking websites, often getting great dealswith advance notice, sometimes with cancellation with 24 hours notice.
