MCB-9 SWF3 J.R. Couch, drowned while swimming near Red Beach, Da Nang Bay. His body was recovered on 16 January by a U.S. Marine Combined Action Platoon near Nam O.

Obituary:
Jacky died from drowning while a member of the Naval Seebees in Da Nang Bay Vietnam. He was 24 years old and a member of the Navy for almost 2 years. Jacky was the husband of Patsy Whaley Couch. The son of Joe & Alma Couch, brother of Harold Couch & Bonnie Whaley.
