Constructionist Mate 2nd Class, U.S. Navy
CM2 Laser was killed in a C-47 crash in the Thua Thien Province of Vietnam in January 17,1969. A native of Shelby, Ohio, James Laser was raised in Buckeye and graduated from Buckeye Union High School in 1965. Laser joined the Navy in 1966. CM2 Laser was a Seabee with Public Works of the NAVSUPACT Da Nang, and was awarded the Purple Heart.
