1966…NMCB-11 ”C” Company completed work on the Chapel at Camp Adenir.

1967…NMCB-58 completed six strongback huts, begun on 30 January, for 1st Marine Engineering Battalion, Da Nang.
…NMCB-9 began crushing rock at the Happy Valley crusher site initiating production at the extensive project.

1968…NMCB-121 field mechanics working on a damaged bridge at Phu Loc District Headquarters came under 82mm mortar fire; no casualties but sight damage to their equipment.
…An NMCB-62 lowboy trailer detonated a land mine while working on the maintenance and repair of Route 1 (L7014, AT938907), 8 miles north of Camp Haskins. No NMCB-62 injuries were sustained.
…NMCB-40 Detail India, consisting of 1 officer and 17 enlisted men, deployed TAD to NMCB-10 to assist in construction of roads, airstrip, and heliports.
…MCB-53, working from Camp Adenir, Da Nang east, was primarily concerned with the construction of the NAVSUPPACT Da Nang hospital complex. At month’s end, the operating rooms, intensive care unit, and wards for the 200-bed expansion project was nearing completion. Other miscellaneous projects under construction at the hospital included a urology clinic, a two-story barracks, and two storage buildings. MCB-53 was also working on the 1st Logistic Command’s 500-man galley and theater, plus 7 quonset huts for the Army’s 5th Special Forces.

1969…Three NMCB-58 Main Body flights, totaling 5 officers and 234 enlisted men, arrived at Camp Shields.
…Commodore A.W. Walton, COM32NCR visited NMCB-7 at Camp Barnes.
…CBMU-302 personnel completed a 40 x 96 foot Butler building at Qui Nhon. Nha Trang construction included reinforcing retainer walls, extension of galley, and a five foot walkway into the bay.
…Maj. C.J. Tyson, USMC, 31st NCR Staff, and LtCdr. G.R. Gilmore, CEC, USN, COMCBPAC Staff, conducted an inspection in the management areas of Planning and Military Readiness.

1971…An NMCB-3 5-ton tractor was heavily damaged and a low boy trailer slightly damaged when it detonated a land mine on TL-540. There were no Seabee casualties.
…NMCB-3’s Detail Jupiter moved from Chu Lai to LZ Baldy to continue shoulder work on QL-1
