1966…Team 0907 established a new team site at Thoai Son, An Giang Province. The Team’s previous site had been located at Phan Rang, Ninh Thuan Province

1967…NMCB-5’s Dong Ha detail commenced upgrading the 3700 foot Dong Ha runway.

1968… RADM J.V. Bartlett, CEC, USN, COM3NCR and CAPT C.W. Turner, CEC, USN, COM30NCR, toured construction sites with CDR W.J. Richeson, CEC, USN, CO NMCB-62.
…One artillery attack on Dong Ha
…43 men from CBMU-301 were temporarily detached to Cua Viet to perform major cantonment repairs and rebuild the ramp damaged by enemy action. ENS B.W. Roen was OIC. The detachment joined the 14 ‘301 personnel already assigned to Detail Charlie located at the Cua Viet site. Immediate clearing operations were commenced by utilizing CBMU-301 equipment augmented by equipment from NMCB-5, NSA Da Nang, and Marine Corps units located in the area. High priority was assigned to the clearing of the ramp in order to re-establish loading/unloading operations as the main logistical channel for the Dong Ha/Northern
I Corps area had to be reopened quickly. The ramp was opened for reduced operations by 1300 on 11 March. Upon completion of the clearing operations on the ramp, repair work was initiated on the cantonment area.. Work consisted of rehabilitation or replacement of 35 buildings which were either damaged or completely destroyed. By 18 March, the ramp was back in full operation, and repairs to the cantonment area were completed by 25 March. NSA Da Nang, requested construction of additional facilities due to an increase in personnel. Additional facilities requested included living huts, bunkers, improvements to the water and electrical distribution systems, head facilities, and construction of a 500-man mess hall. Work on the added facilities were completed in June 1968

1969…NMCB-121 Commanding Officer and Operations Officer visited Seabee Teams 12101 and 12102 and the NMCB-121 Mini Teams in the Delta.
…CAPT J.R. Fisher, CEC, USN, COM30NCR and CAPT J.E. Powell, CEC, USN, Prospective COM30NCR visited NMCB-58 at Camp Shields.
…RADM H.J. Rotridge, CINCPACFLT Fleet Chaplain, visited NMCB-40 at Camp Campbell.
…The NMCB-7/NMCB-62 BEEP began at Camp Barnes
…CAPT J.R. Fisher, CEC, USN, COM30NCR and CAPT J.E. Powell, CEC, USN, prospective COM30NCR, visited NMCB-3 at Camp Haskins South.

1970…NMCB-121 Detail water Witch Charlie, consisting of 3 enlisted men, deployed to the 2/1 Marine cantonment at Marble Mountain.
…NMCB-10 Detail Kilo returned to Camp Wilkinson after completing construction work at Camp Haskins, Da Nang.
…From 11-17 March, Capt. C.G. Miller, CEC, USN, Chief of Staff, COMCBPAC, was briefed by the Commander 32nd NCR and inspected construction sites throughout I Corps.

1971…NMCB-74 Detail Kilo personnel located a mine consisting of 20 pounds of C-4 flake and a 155mm round buried on Route 341. The mine was detonated in place and no injuries resulted.
…NMCB-74’s 5 man well drilling crew completed the Rach Dua well and departed for Cat Lo to begin drilling another well.
