Although I can't disagree with the intention of these laws, they seem to fall into the category of "incomplete staff work," which is to say who's to decide who's disqualified. And also what rights does the defendant have in his hearing? The Law of Unintended Consequences will raise its ugly head. Before you'd know it, getting a speeding ticket would be grounds enough to take away a person's gun, and I suspect that's what the Progressives (Socialists) have in mind.
