DCR Report:
Petty Officer Adams was killed in an enemy artillery attack at Khe San 4/16/68. He and several other men were working in the equipment area when the attack was launched and SWF2 Adams was killed by shrapnel from a round impacting near by. He was assigned to Detail Bravo in Khe San in the steel shop and helped maintain the runway. The cruise book for MCB 301 that year was dedicated to him and BU1 Charles O. Spillman who was killed when the chopper he was in was shot down by enemy fire on 2/28/68.
